Cantu Moisturizing Cream Shampoo Review

Cantu Moisturizing Cream Shampoo is made with pure shea butter and essential oils to replace vital oil in your hair leaving stronger, healthier with a natural shine.
The moisturizing benefits of shea butter help to improve the texture and appearance of dry, damaged hair. Whether your hair is chemically relaxed, colored, pressed on permed, Cantu Moisturizing Cream Shampoo is gentle enough to use everyday.
Cantu Shea Butter Moisturizing Cream Shampoo helps…
  • moisturize your hair with real shea butter and essential oils
  • maintain a healthy scalp and soft, strong shiny hair
  • clean away styling product build up without breaking
I love my Cantu products I am in love with their line so far, everything is working perfect in my hair at the moment. This shampoo is no different.the day i recieved it after purchasing it i used it that night. It left my scalp feeling so clean along with my hair. It also has a nice smell similar to the Leave-In conditioner that was light and pleasant. The packaging it came in made it versatile so that you can stand it upright or upside down once you start nearing the end of the bottle (this is definitely a plus when you are trying to get your money worth), I'm still to use it a bit longer but for now its my go to moisturizing shampoo. Cool stuff.

Hie hair lovelies

This product right here is GREAT stuff!
It smells fantastic: a soft floral and rain water type of scent.
It makes your scalp feel clean and refreshed, gives hair shine/sheen and consistent use DOES strengthen your hair. My hair soaked up moisture a bit more effectively as well.
For me while relaxed with protein hungry hair, I noticed a difference in about a week of use. Natural…about 2 uses.
The spray is perfect in each spritz. Just Perfect. I also like that its the color of over-steeped green tea and the lovely clear package, well placed, and stylish
Protein sensitive and fine-haired ladies, this may be a fantastic way to get protein without fear of overload. You are likely to get significant results, but it takes time so you can easily access how much is too much before breakage and brittleness occurs. You may need one spritz a week or just a daily spritz to your ends, maybe you soak your head in it every other month…whatever you find works for you, it can be gradual.
Bonus: You can pour this into conditioners as well or use it in daily home-made spritzes, just be sure its moisturizing enough to balance this out according to your hair’s needs.
It’s just a great product all around.

Hi Ladies

Hope you are all good and taking great care of our hair. What a Wednesday i had, feeling drained been very busy trying to get the store going its really some hard work. Anyway that still doesnt distract me from my long term goal GROWING MY HAIR long, strong and healthy yep!!!!. No pain No gain.

Anyway today is day number 5 on the Castor oil challenge and i am using my JBCO sparingly daily evenings only, especially now that i still have my weave in. Its a good start to the challenge and hope i can keep this momentum going till the 28th of December 2013 I am hoping to remove this sew -in on Saturday which is round about 8 weeks post and 6 weeks with the sew in. I feel my scalp is dirty and need to clean and deep condition properly, not that i am not doing it properly but i minimize the amount of product going into my hair to prevent build up. I am still thinking of my next protective style not too sure what to have put in but braids are number one on the list actually twists those i can keep in for 8 weeks tops. Will definately have some pics up to show my progress i can definately feel the growth when i moisturize and seal.

Till the weekend

Happy hair Growing

Moisturize & seal and Castor oil Challenge

How I Moisturize and Seal My Hair

Hey Ladies Thank God its Fridayyyyyy…. heres a tip on how to:

Moisturizing and sealing your hair is when you apply a moisturizer to your hair before sealing in the moisture with an oil. For ladies with relaxed or natural hair, moisturizing and sealing is an essential part of your hair regimen to retain your length and to avoid breakage.

There are moisturizers which already contain oil in the ingredients to which some ladies will use just the one product to both moisturize and seal the hair in one. Most of the moisturizers I prefer to use the one with no oil in it then seal my hair afterwards with an oil. I generally switch my moisturizers depending on availability either its  my Elasta QP Olive Oil and mango butter or ORS olive oil moisturizing hair lotion and Scurl no drip activator Moisturizer and seal with Castor oil or EVOO and apply JBCO or Doo Grow

I moisturize and seal my hair daily maybe once or twice in the mornings or before bed depending on my schedule for the day, at times I'll spray my hair with a shine mist instead before wrapping my hair with a satin scarf and then moisturize and seal in the morning.

I section my hair off into four parts and apply a small amount of moisturizer through each section, starting at the ends and then working my way up to the roots of the hair, I then twist or braid the section for the moisturizer to aborb into my hair. Then I go back through each section, applying a drop or two of oil before twisting it again so it's getting to every strand. Depending on how I am wearing my hair the next day, I will either go on to wrap my hair, twist ,braid or put in a loose bun then protect it overnight with a satin scarf.

My hair feels softer and more manageable compared to when I began my Hair journey 6 months ago. Loving the results……

Just joined HAIRLISTA INC castor oil challenge for 3 months
Advance Level:
  • Apply Castor oil to your scalp every other day. Use sparingly. Massage it in. Focus on Damaged areas.
  • Apply 1 tsp of castor oil to your deep conditioner weekly with heat. Rinse thoroughly.

I will continue with my current regimen daily
I apply castor oil or JBCO to my ends/edges/and nape after each wash.
I moisturize and seal nightly with Elasta QP Olive Oil and mango butter or Scurl no drip activator Moisturizer and seal with Castor oil or EVOO and apply JBCO or Doo Grow mega thick oil to my scalp 4-5 times a week.
also once or twice a week I use the GHE method applying JBCO to my ends.
I am going to eliminate the EVOO and Doo grow mega thick oil and just use my JBCO and Plain pure castor oil. Am posting my pics for just before i got my sew in weave i had deep conditioned with ORS hair mayonnaise

Deep Conditioning day Under Sew In

Hey!

Hope you all had a great weekend, Well for me yesterday was quite a Sunday had errands to run and it was also my deep conditioning day. When i have a weave on i deep condition every two weeks. Here's how it went:
  • I Started by combing through the hair with a wide tooth comb to remove all tangles. I Started from the ends to the roots.
  • Next was to Fill a spray bottle up with diluted shampoo and spray the scalp and hair. I used ORS  Creamy Aloe Shampoo then Using the method of spraying in between each track toas close as possible to the scalp, I Proceed by spraying the rest of the weave.
  • I then Rinsed the shampoo out of the hair using warm water and a wide tooth comb. Make sure that you rinsed the scalp thoroughly and removing all of the soap from the scalp.
  • I towel dried the hair then applied my mixture of Elasta QP DPR-11+ Deep Penetrating Remoisturizer Conditioner, JBCO, Coconut Oil, Avocado Oil and Amla Oil. I used a nozzle top applicator bottle to apply the DC onto my hair. I am also crazy about keeping my weave soft and smooth, and one of the ways I do that is with a good conditioner so i applied the remaining conditioner to my weave, Your weave will thank you!*
  •
  • After sitting under my conditioning cap for 30 mins i rinsed the Deep conditioner out and applied my leave-in conditioner Aphogee Pro -Vitamin leave- in condirioner which is one of my favourites then i air dried. DO NOT APPLY any oils to the hair weave, and do try to limit your use of a heated appliance
  •  I waited for my hair to completely dry out then i moisturized my hair with a mixture of Cantu Shea Butter leave in conditioning repair cream then sealed with olive oil making sure not getting any product or oils on the weave.
  •
  • Wore my satin bonnet and was off to bed
  • Remember Hair should be washed weekly! and when in braids and weaves every two weaks.

I hope this post is helpful to someone, if you have any questions as always drop it below in the comments section and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.  Thanks for reading!
